5 hrs, 23 mins and counting

Well, tonight is opening night. At 7.25 tonight we perform to our first Fringe audience. Dress rehearsal last night went well but could have gone better although hopefully having the audience in will lift us that bit more we need to make the show fantastic. I'm just mega hyper about the whole thing but then, I always get like this on opening night.

Aside from show prep I've been visiting recruitment agencies. One is putting me forward for a job which will mean (if I get it) an £3000 a year pay increase and working beside my sister (albeit in a different department). I hope I do get it but not sure I'm experienced enough. The rest of the agencies don't have anything for me yet but are gonna be on the look out for me. Fingers crossed something will come up before my time is up at my current job.

I went to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch in the Fringe last weekend. Fantastic show! The guy playing Hedwig was amazing although my one criticism is that he wasn't feminine enough in places but the singing and acting were superb. Lick (who were The Angry Inch) are a great band. I'll keep an lookout for any of their stuff. Bought the CD on the way out from the show and have been playing it non-stop.

I'm getting back into reading like I used to. I kinda stopped reading for fun when I started my Standard Grades because I had too much reading I had been given for English to allow me the time. Now I have the time, I'm getting back to it at last. I read "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold a month or so ago and loved it so I'm now reading her other book, "Lucky". Both deal with pretty harrowing subject matter but I'm finding myself completely gripped and unable to put the book down for any length of time. I started reading it yesterday afternoon and I'm nearly finished. Just a chapter left to go. I'm off to finish it now actually.
