There’s only one non-fiction title this time. That’s practically unheard of with Get Rec’d. There’s also a graphic novel, another romance author dabbling in mystery, and a historical romance with a bit of a twist. Can’t wait to hear what people think of that one in particular.

I discovered this book while looking at something related to historical romances and I just had to mention it to the Bitchery. It’s a Regency romance where the main couple are otter shifters.
When an otter shifter returns from war to find the love of his life betrothed to another, he becomes determined to win her back.
Georgiana believed she’d marry Henry since the day she understood what it meant. But when he goes away to war, she watched that dream slip away.
After two years away, Henry returns to find Georgiana engaged, and that winning her back might not be as easy as he first thought.

The blurb by Mary Roach is pretty on the nose, given that this book certainly feels like some of Roach’s scientific deep dives. If you liked those or just love quirky science nonfiction, check this one out.
